Tom Starkweather is a photographer based out of Brooklyn, New York. Starkweather holds a BFA in Photojournalism from the Rochester Institute of Technology and began photographing while in high school for a local newspaper. Starkweather enjoys taking street photography as he walks between destinations. He makes photographs that are driven by a general fascination with people and their relationship to their environment. Starkweather shoots regularly for Bloomberg News and Flavorpill, and has had work in The New York Times, Business Week, USA Today, Baltimore Sun, The Washington Post, The International Herald Tribune, Monthly Photo (Korean), Earplug, Bust, Rochester Business Journal, Reporter Magazine, The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, and The Scranton Times-Tribune.
