Still Photographer
Thomas Downs has been taking pictures from a very early age. His first camera of choice was a kodak disc camera of his grandmothers on a long trip to florida. After that he started borrowing his mothers rangefinder and found his calling. Throughout high school he was obsessed with the dark room and shooting anything he could. After High school he joined the air force and became a military videographer and still photographer. For the next 12 years he shot video from planes and helicopters.

He documented deployments edited videos and produced training tapes produced award ceremony events. Looking for a change Tom left the military and began his freelance career. Since then he has been shooting Political events, editorial work, Corporate events, and Commercial work. Since his move to New York he is a still shooter. However, he has started doing more post production work for film and television.
