Fernando Pinheiro is a director, producer, and screenwriter, as well as a film technician and animation researcher in 2D and 3D. He was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and studied Visual Arts at the school of Guignard UEMG (Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais).
Fernando's first short film, A Garota (The Kid, 2006) was accepted to 138 film festivals in 41 countries and won several awards for Best Animation. Shortly thereafter, directed two more films, Bons sonhos (Good Dreams) and Cap VX:12. Fernando's latest project, Ser Humano (Human Being) will be released in the summer of 2009.
