Mary Brownlee hails from Coopersburg, Pennsylvania. A recent graduate of DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, Mary earned a degree in TV and film with a concentration in post-production. Mary discovered her interest in set design and prop management by chance--she was assigned the job on a short film and found that it really satisfied her creative need to make things look sharp and beautiful. Mary's primary artistic focus has always been in editing and graphic design. Though her passion lies in documentary filmmaking, she believes that narratives are usually more fun to make. She is currently working with director Rachel Smith on a documentary depicting the United Nation's involvement in Haiti peacekeeping. For Mary, it is very important that her involvement in filmmaking allows her to make a difference in the world. When she's not busy working, Mary enjoys photography, the outdoors, and animals. |
